Jewelery Designer Dan Lomax Comes to Lambertville NJ

There is a new jewelry designer showing his work at the Lambertville NJ Art Gallery River Queen Artisans at 8 Church Street. They don't have anything on their website for him yet (Tuesday, June 29, 2010) but they told me there would be a web page sometime this week. But I have a photo of one of his pendants:
This is made from several different stones: aquamarine, spinel, emerald, spessartite garnet, apatite, pink tourmaline, bi-colored tourmaline, with wire wrapping. River Queen Artisans has several of his pendants on display in their Lambertville Gallery, the photo does not really do it justice. If you are in the Lambertville or New Hope areas, stop by and check them out for yourself.
The pendants are designed so that they can be worn by either men or women, they are unique, and  eye-catching jewelry pieces. (Dan wears one of his pendants which he custom designed as a commission for someone who never returned to pay for it, so he kept it, and said he is happy the customer never came back, it turned out so well he would have hated to sell it.)
River Queen Artisans Gallery is staying open late on Friday nights through the summer, so if you are in Lambertville to see the fireworks (every Friday until Labor Day at 9:30PM) take a stroll over to Church Street and check out all of the artists on display in their gallery.

Welcome to Lambertville's Art Scene

Lambertville, New Jersey is a small city on the banks of the Delaware River, just across from New Hope, Pennsylvania.
It is a very scenic area of New Jersey, and has attracted many artists who work in many mediums and styles. The abundance of talented artists has led to the creation of many fine art galleries, on both sides of the river. I plan on sharing information, and whenever I have permission, images from individual artists, and art galleries on the Lambertville side of the river.
I want to start talking about Church Street, it's the underdog as far as art gallery and shopping locations. It is currently undergoing a revival, with several galleries opening in the last year or two, most owned and operated by the artists themselves. There are also several pet stores, a Mexican restaurant, a bakery/restaurant, a neighborhood bar, which regularly features live music by local musicians. (Our next door neighbor, John Sonntag, had a CD release party there for his last CD, called Chasing Stars.)
The newest gallery on Church Street, and in Lambertville is a co-op gallery located in an old firehouse, across from the bakery (Bakers Treat), called River Queen Artisans. It was formed by several local artists, and they have been joined by more artists,I think there are at least 10 artists showing work there now.
They have several jewelry designers, several painters, a wood furniture maker, a sculptor, and several glass artists. With so many artists, and such a variety of work, they change the work being displayed frequently. Even though they have several painters, and several jewelers, their work is all very different.
One of the jewelers, Jacqueline ter Kuile, has just introduced a line of men's sterling silver jewelry,   including the bracelets pictured here:

She has also created some cuff links, and plans on doing more, if there is a demand for the items. If you like sterling silver, stop in and see Jacqueline, she does do custom design work. You can read more about Jacqueline, and see more of her jewelry designs at the River Queen Artisans Gallery website:

I will get some more photos of more artists and/or their work  posted here, as I get permission to do so.
